Hello!

I’m Nico, a Ph.D. student from Argentina supervised by Pablo Barttfeld & Guillermo Solovey. At the Cognitive Science Group (part of the Psychological Research Institute), my research focuses on the computational foundations of confidence in decision-making. Specifically, I combine behavioural experiments with computational modelling to characterise how confidence in decisions is generated and how it is used to guide behaviour in uncertain environments. I sometimes complement these approaches with neuroimaging techniques such as fMRI and EEG. More broadly, I’m particularly interested about developing and testing computational models to better understand human cognition and behaviour. My doctoral work is generously supported by a CONICET fellowship.
